Sea Pines

The southwestern tip of the island is graced by Sea Pines Plantation (the name "plantation" coming from its historical roots), Hilton Head’s first and best known developed community.

The Sea Pines area covers five thousand acres including a lush 605-acre forest preserve with nature trails and lakes. Considered a world-class resort in addition to being a residential haven, Sea Pines features:

  • four golf courses (including Harbour Town Golf Links-site of the PGA tour-stop Heritage of Golf)
  • dozens of tennis courts
  • Two marinas including the famous Harbour Town Yacht Basin
  • An equestrian center.
